Mimitoys is Sponsoring the “Is It Just Us...?” Podcast - Real Talk for Parents!
Parenting is...whatever the definition is? I think every parent has their own, and that is what makes parenting surprising, exhausting, overwhelming, with a constant feeling of learning on the spot. As a mum of 4 teens and young adults, I have really loved my parenting and still do. With Mimitoys, I always hope to communicate that toys and play really support family life and connections, conections within the couple and connections with my children. That’s why I am really excited to sponsor the podcast Is It Just Us...?, hosted by Debbie Cullinane and Hayley Rice. Hayley and Debbie are both Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists specialising in Play Therapy. They are also both mothers and former primary school teachers.
What the Podcast is About
Is It Just Us...? is a weekly podcast for parents who sometimes wonder if they’re the only ones finding it all a bit… much. Debbie and Hayley take on the big and small questions of modern parenting:
Practical struggles: sleep deprivation, resilience, screen battles, work–life balance.
Everyday guilt: “Am I doing enough play?”, “Do friendships feel harder as parents?”, “Am I being judged?”
Identity shifts: how becoming a parent changes relationships, body image, and our sense of self.
Taboo topics with honesty: sex, gentle parenting, tantrums, diet culture, Botox, and more.
Every episode blends professional insight with a down-to-earth, relatable style. It’s not about giving parents another list of things to get right, it’s about saying, “You’re not alone. Let’s figure this out together.”
Who Are Debbie and Hayley?
Debbie Cullinane and Hayley Rice are Irish therapists who also juggle parenting themselves. They bring both professional experience and lived reality to each episode. That balance makes their conversations practical, grounded, and sprinkled with humour. Parents of children of all ages can recognise themselves in the messy, beautiful stories they share.
Why Mimitoys is Involved
Mimitoys is more than just selling toys. I believe toys are amazing tools that help families connect, play, and communicate. The themes of Is It Just Us...? mirror the very heart of what we stand for: celebrating creativity and independance and helping parents engage children through fun and learning.
By sponsoring Is It Just Us...?, I am supporting honest and practical conversations that matter to parents with the reassurance that you’re not alone.
