On the Road 2026

At Mimitoys, we have always believed that puppets, sensory toys and creative play resources can do far more than entertain. They can support communication, emotional expression, imaginative play and connection. In 2026, I am delighted to be back on the road, meeting the teachers, therapists, social care professionals and play specialists who use these resources every day in meaningful and practical ways.

This year, Mimitoys will once again attend professional events where play, creativity, emotional wellbeing and child development are at the centre of the conversation. These conferences are a valuable chance for me to show our puppets and sensory toys in person, listen to the needs of professionals, and continue growing Mimitoys within educational, therapeutic and care settings across Ireland.

 

Social Care Ireland Annual Conference 2026

I’m very pleased to be attending the Social Care Ireland Annual Conference 2026 on 25th March. I attended this conference last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was made feel very welcome by the organisers and attendees, and it was a very successful event. This is an exciting opportunity for Mimitoys to connect with social care professionals who work every day to support children, young people and vulnerable individuals in practical, relational and creative ways.

Puppets can be a powerful resource in social care settings. They can help open up communication, support emotional expression, reduce pressure in one-to-one interaction and create a gentler, more accessible way for children to engage. I’m looking forward to showing how puppets and sensory toys from Mimitoys can be used in real-world care and support settings, and to learning more from the professionals attending the event.

 

IPTCA Annual Conference 2026

Theme: Supporting Transformational Change in Play Therapy

I’m delighted to be attending the IPTCA Annual Conference 2026 at Dunboyne Castle on 11th and 12th April. This is always one of the most relevant and enjoyable events for Mimitoys, as play therapists immediately understand the value of puppets, sensory resources and imaginative tools in supporting children’s expression and emotional processing.

Play therapy is one of the clearest examples of how toys and puppets can become meaningful therapeutic resources rather than simply products on a shelf. I always enjoy this conference because it brings together professionals who are thoughtful, creative and deeply engaged in helping children feel safe, seen and understood. I’m really looking forward to returning, meeting attendees and sharing resources that can support therapy rooms across Ireland.

 

Looking Ahead

These events are an important part of how Mimitoys continues to grow and stay connected with the people who use puppets and play resources in meaningful, everyday practice. Whether in social care, education, therapy or family support, I believe strongly in the power of play-based resources to help children communicate, connect and feel more at ease.
