Get ready for an incredible day out at the National Ploughing Championships 2024, that takes place from Tuesday 17th of Sept. to Thursday 19th, in Ratheniska, Co Laois. This three-day event is a celebration of agriculture and an amazing day out for the whole family. There will be something for all ages to enjoy and discover...
Of course, you can check out the thrilling Ploughing competitions, where expert international ploughmen showcase their talents with an incredible display of skills and precision.
You will also find a massive trade show, the largest outdoor event of its kind in Europe, featuring exhibitions that range from livestock and machinery to craft stalls, vintage and classic motors, fashion shows, interior design, and art exhibitions.

There will be loads of stands and shops and the Local Enterprise Office Village where I will be exhibiting along with other local businesses selected by their respective LEOs.
I have always had an eye on the NPA but time and cost has always been on the way. This year, I decided to apply through my local LEO in Meath and am so thrilled to have been selected to represent Meath in the LEO Village.

For a small business like Mimitoys, to exhibit at the National Ploughing Championships 2024 and showcase my range to a large number of new, potential and existing customers is an honour and also an incredible business opportunity.
Meeting up with so many people and discussing, puppets, toys, ideas on the range is the ideal market research.

There is a lot of preparation to be ready for such a large scale event. The preparation actually started on the 14th of June with a full-day briefing that covered all practical aspects of the exhibition. It also included photo shoots and product pictures that will be used to promote the event nationally. A great day to meet up other businesses who will be attending too.

What to expect from the Mimitoys.ie stand?

Entertainement, fun, exploration, discovery and passion is what you will get from the National Ploughing Championships 2024, and it is also what the Mimitoys.ie stand has on offer.
I will be exhibiting a super wide range of puppets of all shapes, sizes, colours, themes and prices...A chance to discover a different type of play that encourage self-confidence, imagination, creativity, communication and social skills. Puppets are also great for story telling and bring families together for a fun and easy-to-set-up activity.
Puppets are traditional toys and yet such a modern and fun form of play. Puppets allow children of all ages to express themselves and use their natural talents to make up stories and build fantasy worlds.

I am particularly fond of our range of animal Hand Puppets and Irish Wildlife Puppets (owls, rabbits, foxes, red squirrels, and puffins) that promote an understanding and an appreciation of the natural world around us.
But then what about the coolest range of Monster Puppets, very fluffy, very colourful and not so scary...
Or the storytelling characters such as The Big Bd Wolf and the 3 Little Pigs or the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street...
