We are delighted to be exhibiting at the 50 Plus Show at the RDS, Dublin, on the 14th and 15th of April 2023.
I was brought up in rural South of France and my Grand-Parents minded me after school and we were always playing games. I loved the time I spent with them. I remember playing board games and card games and I think that a lot of my skills and interests were learned through the games I played with them.
When I started Mimitoys.ie in 2004 I wanted to replicate those special moments of playing, with a range of toys that encourage open-ended play, and children’s natural ability to learn through play. I also want to encourage screen-free play and families sharing moments together.
Over the years we have noticed more and more grandparents buying toys online for their grandchildren and we are looking forward to showing you some of our popular toys at the 50 Plus Show.
The toys and games that we sell the most to grandparents are our traditional toys, such as puppets and finger puppets, ragdolls, music boxes and puzzles.
Mimitoys.ie has now the largest selection of children’s puppets in Ireland, one puppet was famously reviewed on The Late Late Toy Show last December.
We also have a wide range of creative and hands-on art packs from Djeco, an award winning French supplier and an excellent selection of traditional toys such as tea-sets, knitting sets and family board games.
The 50 Plus Show is designed to be an informative, educational and upbeat event for “people who don’t act their age!”. The 50 Plus Show is a free event and is ideal for people who are about to retire or already have and want to take up a new hobby or pastime, want to learn about their rights and entitlements, the financial implications of retirement and most importantly, keeping themselves mentally and physically active in their latter years. A busy 2-days with loads of talks, workshops and exhibitors.
